Black and white polaroid photo of Diego sitting in his studio on an orange background

I’m Diego
(aka superday)

I’m a self taught, mixed media artist out of the Bay Area who loves making art and just hopes you like looking at it. My style is colorful with rough and dynamic line work as a f*#% you to my many years of perfectionism.

Portraits are my absolute favorite to paint and my portraits are a celebration of the human experience. Scars, tears, smiles, frowns; I try to capture the full spectrum. It’s what shapes us and connects us.

Where the magic happens

A while ago, I cleaned up a corner of my garage so I could start painting; It’s my own little studio, carved out of necessity, running on organized chaos.

Sometimes it feels cramped, other times I can’t believe I have a dedicated space to create. My garage is filling up with paintings, and I’m running out of space, and I couldn’t be happier.
